The geomagnetic field was inactive to quiet on November 9. Solar wind speed ranged between 358 and 466 (all day average 408) km/sec.
Solar flux measured at 20h UTC on 2.8 GHz was 78.1. The planetary
index was 3 (STAR Ap - based on the mean of three hour interval ap
Three hour interval K indices: 20000101 (planetary), 21102201 (Boulder).
The background x-ray flux is at the class A2 level.
At midnight the visible solar disk was spotless. The solar flare activity level was low. A single C class event was recorded during the day, region 10820 produced a C1.2 flare at 03:01 UTC at the southwest limb.
November 7-9: No obvious fully or partly Earth directed CMEs were observed.

A recurrent coronal hole (CH196) in the northern hemisphere was in an Earth facing position on November 7-8.
Processed SOHO/EIT 284 image at 01:06 UTC on November 10. The darkest areas on the solar disk are likely coronal holes.
The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to active on November 10-11 due to a high speed stream from CH196.

1) Effects from a coronal hole could reach Earth
within the next 5 days. When the high speed stream has arrived
the color changes to green.
2) Material from a CME is likely to impact Earth within 96 hours.
3) There is a possibility of either M or X class flares within the next 48 hours.
Green: 0-20% probability, Yellow: 20-60% probability, Red: 60-100% probability.
Long distance low and medium frequency (below 2 MHz) propagation along east-west paths over high and upper middle latitudes is good. Propagation on long distance northeast-southwest paths is very poor. Trans Atlantic propagation conditions are normally monitored every night on 1470 kHz. Dominant station tonight: Radio Vibración (Venezuela). A number of stations from the USA were heard throughout the MW band. Propagation surprisingly didn't favor the East Coast stations, i.e. 1130 kHz had 3 US stations at about the same signal level. KVNS 1700 kHz was good at times.
